In a decisive victory in Week 12 of the 2026 season, the Washington Commanders topped the Arizona Cardinals 30-16, solidifying their playoff hopes. The Commanders entered the game looking to maintain momentum, and they delivered a strong performance against a struggling Cardinals squad. Leading the charge for Washington was quarterback Jayden Daniels, who threw for two touchdowns, while Jacory Croskey-Merritt contributed with a solid 58 rushing yards. On the other side, Carson Beck of the Cardinals recorded 283 passing yards, showcasing his skill despite the team's inability to capitalize on opportunities. Trey McBride was a bright spot for Arizona, racking up 88 receiving yards, but it wasn’t enough to change the outcome. Defensively, the Commanders were relentless, with Quan Martin leading the team with nine total tackles and Jordan Magee adding 1.5 sacks to the mix. The game's turning point came when Nick Cross intercepted a key pass, stifling a potential scoring drive for Arizona and allowing Washington to extend their lead. This defensive effort not only secured the win but also showcased the Commanders' balanced approach as they look forward in the season.
