In a high-scoring affair, the Detroit Lions dominated the Chicago Bears with a final score of 55-28 in Week 12 of the 2026 season. This decisive victory solidifies the Lions' position in the playoff race while leaving the Bears searching for answers as they continue to struggle on both sides of the ball. Jordan Love put up impressive numbers for the Bears, throwing for 353 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his ability to move the ball through the air. However, it was Jahmyr Gibbs of the Lions who stole the show, rushing for a staggering 195 yards, effectively controlling the tempo of the game. Jayden Reed also made his mark for Chicago, racking up 152 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with Detroit’s explosive offense. The Lions' defense stepped up when it mattered, with D.J. Reed snagging an interception that shifted momentum midway through the game. Ennis Rakestraw Jr. led the tackle count with five, helping to stifle the Bears' attempts at a comeback. Ultimately, it was Gibbs' relentless rushing and the timely defensive plays that turned the tide, allowing Detroit to pull away and secure a convincing victory.
