In a decisive matchup in Week 5 of the 2026 season, the San Francisco 49ers topped the Seattle Seahawks with a final score of 22-6. This victory was crucial for the 49ers as they look to solidify their position in a competitive division, while the Seahawks struggled to find their rhythm on offense. Brock Purdy led the charge for San Francisco, throwing for an impressive 345 yards and connecting with his receivers effectively. Mike Evans was a standout target, racking up 127 receiving yards, while Christian McCaffrey contributed significantly on the ground with 94 rushing yards. The 49ers' offensive balance kept the Seahawks' defense on its heels throughout the game. On the defensive side, the 49ers stifled the Seahawks' offense, limiting their scoring opportunities and forcing them into tough situations. The turning point came in the second quarter when San Francisco's defense stepped up, forcing a crucial turnover that set up a touchdown. Ernest Jones IV led Seattle with eight total tackles, but it wasn’t enough to turn the tide as the 49ers maintained control and held off any attempts at a Seahawks comeback.
