In a high-octane showdown, the Dallas Cowboys topped the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 35-25 in Week 5 of the 2026 season. The victory was crucial for the Cowboys as they continue to solidify their position in the NFC playoff race, showcasing their offensive firepower against a formidable opponent. Dak Prescott was the star of the game, throwing for 363 yards and four touchdowns, while also orchestrating a balanced attack that kept the Buccaneers' defense on its heels. CeeDee Lamb emerged as his favorite target, racking up 146 receiving yards and contributing significantly to the victory. Additionally, Javonte Williams added a solid ground game with 84 rushing yards, complementing the aerial assault effectively. Defensively, the Cowboys managed to apply just enough pressure to disrupt Tampa Bay's rhythm, highlighted by Malachi Lawrence's half-sack, which contributed to the overall defensive effort. The game's turning point came in the third quarter when Dallas scored two quick touchdowns, stretching their lead and forcing the Buccaneers to play catch-up. Although Antoine Winfield Jr. led the Bucs’ defense with eight total tackles, it wasn’t enough to overcome the Cowboys’ offensive explosion.
