In a decisive Week 3 showdown, the New England Patriots outlasted the Jacksonville Jaguars with a commanding 42-16 victory. With both teams looking to establish momentum early in the 2026 season, the Patriots proved to be the dominant force, showcasing their offensive prowess and defensive tenacity throughout the game. Drake Maye led the charge for New England, throwing for two touchdowns and keeping the Jaguars' defense on their heels. Although Trevor Lawrence put up respectable numbers with 205 passing yards, it was Bhayshul Tuten's 34 rushing yards that highlighted Jacksonville's struggles on the ground. Brian Thomas Jr. was the standout receiver for the Jaguars, racking up 74 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with the Patriots' offensive explosion. Defensively, the Patriots were relentless, with Craig Woodson emerging as a game-changer by snagging three interceptions, effectively stifling Jacksonville's momentum. Christian Elliss added pressure with two sacks, further disrupting the Jaguars' rhythm. The turning point came in the second quarter when Woodson's first interception set up a quick touchdown drive, shifting the game's momentum firmly in New England's favor and sealing their victory.
