The Baltimore Ravens opened their 2026 season with a solid 35-24 victory over the Indianapolis Colts, establishing an early lead in the race for playoff positioning. Both teams entered the matchup looking to set a tone for the season, but it was the Ravens who emerged victorious, showcasing their offensive firepower and defensive prowess. Lamar Jackson was the star of the night for Baltimore, throwing for 176 yards and three touchdowns, demonstrating his ability to command the offense. Zay Flowers added to the Ravens' success with 77 receiving yards, creating crucial plays that kept the chains moving. Meanwhile, Jonathan Taylor provided a strong performance for the Colts, rushing for 104 yards, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with the Ravens' scoring. Defensively, the Ravens made their mark with a standout performance from Trenton Simpson, who recorded nine total tackles. However, it was Kyle Hamilton's two interceptions that shifted the momentum, effectively stalling any Colts' comeback attempts. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Hamilton picked off a pass deep in Ravens territory, allowing Baltimore to capitalize and extend their lead, ultimately sealing the win.
