In a thrilling Wildcard Round matchup, the Baltimore Ravens narrowly defeated the New York Jets, with a final score of 48-45. This high-stakes contest showcased the offensive firepower of both teams, but ultimately, the Ravens emerged victorious, advancing in the 2026 postseason. Lamar Jackson was nothing short of spectacular for Baltimore, throwing for five touchdowns while also amassing an astounding 294 rushing yards. Cade Klubnik kept the Jets competitive with an impressive 393 passing yards, but it was Jackson's dual-threat capability that proved too much for New York's defense. Adonai Mitchell contributed significantly for the Jets as well, leading his team with 109 receiving yards, but it was not enough to secure a win. Defensively, the Jets had moments of brilliance, highlighted by Jowon Briggs' dominant performance, recording 3.5 sacks. However, the turning point came when Trenton Simpson intercepted a key pass from Klubnik, halting a potential game-tying drive late in the fourth quarter. The Ravens' defense may have had a quieter day, but that pivotal play proved crucial in sealing their advancement in the playoffs.
