The Seattle Seahawks narrowly defeated the Carolina Panthers 21-17 in a thrilling Week 17 matchup that had significant playoff implications. With the victory, Seattle solidified its position in the postseason picture, while the Panthers faced the sting of a missed opportunity to secure their own playoff hopes. Jalen Milroe was the standout for the Seahawks, throwing for two touchdowns and adding 90 rushing yards to his impressive performance. Meanwhile, Dak Prescott kept the Panthers competitive, racking up 283 passing yards, but it was Tetairoa McMillan’s 136 receiving yards that showcased Carolina's aerial threats. However, the day ultimately belonged to Milroe as he orchestrated key drives to seal the win. On the defensive side, Tyrice Knight emerged as a game-changer for Seattle, recording four total tackles and two crucial sacks that disrupted Carolina's offensive rhythm. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Knight's pressure led to a critical incompletion on a potential game-tying drive. The Seahawks' defense held firm, allowing them to escape with the victory and keep their playoff dreams alive.
