In a decisive Week 2 matchup of the 2027 season, the Cleveland Browns toppled the Arizona Cardinals with a commanding 42-21 victory. With both teams looking to establish momentum early in the season, the Browns showcased their offensive prowess and defensive tenacity to secure the win at home. Cleveland's offense was led by quarterback Taylen Green, who threw for three touchdowns while also rushing for 74 yards, highlighting his dual-threat capability. Although Dante Moore of the Cardinals recorded a notable 317 passing yards, it was Marvin Mims Jr.'s 88 receiving yards that stood out for Arizona, but ultimately it wasn't enough to keep pace with the dominant Browns. Defensively, the Browns made their presence felt, with Carrington Valentine recording five total tackles and Collin Simmons disrupting the Cardinals' rhythm with 2.5 sacks. The turning point came when Tyson Campbell intercepted a pass, stifling a potential scoring drive for Arizona and allowing Cleveland to extend their lead, which proved insurmountable as the game progressed.
