In a thrilling Week 3 showdown, the Miami Dolphins narrowly defeated the Houston Texans 31-28, securing a crucial victory in the early stages of the 2027 season. Both teams showcased their offensive firepower, but it was Miami that emerged victorious in a tightly contested battle. Arch Manning led the Dolphins with a solid performance, throwing for 255 yards and connecting on key drives. The star of the day, however, was Jaylen Wright, who dominated the ground game with a staggering 194 rushing yards, proving to be the backbone of Miami's offensive strategy. C.J. Stroud also had a notable outing for Houston, tossing three touchdown passes to keep the Texans competitive throughout the game. Defensively, the Dolphins made crucial plays when it mattered most, highlighted by Paulson Adebo's two interceptions that shifted momentum in Miami's favor. Despite Rueben Bain Jr.'s sack for the Texans and Dominick Wilson's five tackles, it was Adebo's timely picks that sealed the deal for the Dolphins. The game's turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Adebo's second interception thwarted a potential game-tying drive for Houston, allowing Miami to hold on for the win.
