The Jacksonville Jaguars secured a 27-17 victory over the Buffalo Bills in Week 5 of the 2027 season, solidifying their position in the playoff race. Both teams entered this matchup with high hopes, but it was the Jaguars who ultimately emerged victorious, showcasing their offensive firepower. Trevor Lawrence was the star of the night, throwing for 310 yards and two touchdowns, leading Jacksonville's passing attack with precision. Complementing his efforts, Elijah Newman-Hall made a significant impact, not only rushing for 81 yards but also racking up 119 receiving yards, proving to be a dual-threat weapon that the Bills struggled to contain. Defensively, the Jaguars capitalized on key moments, with Travis Hunter snagging an interception that shifted momentum in their favor. The game's turning point came late in the third quarter when Hunter's pick set up a touchdown drive, allowing Jacksonville to extend their lead. Despite some strong plays from Buffalo's Jermaine Johnson II, who recorded 3.5 sacks, the Jaguars' balanced offense and timely defensive plays sealed the victory.
