The Detroit Lions held off the Arizona Cardinals to secure a 26-20 victory in a crucial Week 5 matchup of the 2026 season. With both teams looking to establish momentum, the Lions emerged triumphant, reinforcing their position in the playoff race. Trinidad Chambliss led the Lions' offense with 184 passing yards, showcasing his ability to move the ball downfield effectively. Isiah Pacheco contributed significantly on the ground, racking up 68 rushing yards, while Christian Watson was the top target, finishing with 85 receiving yards. Jaxson Dart managed to throw for a touchdown for the Cardinals, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Lions' balanced attack. Defensively, the Lions made key plays that proved pivotal, highlighted by Jack Campbell's seven tackles and Stephen Griffin's crucial interception. The turning point came in the fourth quarter when Griffin's pick not only halted a potential scoring drive for the Cardinals but also allowed the Lions to maintain their lead. Meanwhile, Nick Bosa’s two and a half sacks kept the Lions on their toes, but it ultimately wasn't enough to tip the scales in Arizona's favor.
