In a decisive matchup, the New Orleans Saints dominated the Minnesota Vikings with a final score of 38-10, showcasing their offensive prowess and solidifying their position in the league. With this victory in Week 5 of the 2026 season, the Saints continue to establish themselves as a formidable contender. Tyler Shough was the standout for New Orleans, throwing for an impressive 335 yards and three touchdowns. His connection with Bryce Lance was particularly effective, as Lance racked up 166 receiving yards, making critical plays that kept the Vikings' defense on their heels. Justin Fields led Minnesota's efforts on the ground with 81 rushing yards, but it wasn’t enough to keep pace with the Saints' explosive attack. Defensively, the Saints put pressure on the Vikings throughout the game, with Davon Godchaux recording a half-sack and contributing to a relentless front that stifled Minnesota's offensive rhythm. The turning point came early in the second quarter when Shough connected with Lance for a long touchdown that extended the lead to 21-3, forcing the Vikings to play catch-up for the remainder of the game. Ashtyn Davis led Minnesota's defense with seven total tackles, but the Saints' offensive firepower proved too much to overcome.
