The New Orleans Saints topped the Dallas Cowboys 24-7 in a decisive Week 2 matchup of the 2027 season. Both teams entered the game looking to establish early momentum, but it was the Saints who emerged victorious, solidifying their position in the league standings. Saints quarterback Tyler Shough delivered a standout performance, throwing for 191 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to command the offense. Running back Travis Etienne Jr. contributed significantly on the ground, racking up 65 rushing yards, while wide receiver Bryce Lance led the receiving corps with 69 yards. Together, they formed a potent offensive trio that kept the Cowboys' defense on its heels throughout the game. On the defensive side, the Saints' Kool-Aid McKinstry made a pivotal impact with an interception, halting any momentum Dallas might have gained. Though the Cowboys' Von Miller recorded a sack and Zabien Brown led with five tackles, they struggled to contain the Saints' offensive onslaught. The turning point came in the second quarter when Shough threw his second touchdown pass, pushing the score to 17-0 and effectively sealing the win for New Orleans.
