In a decisive Week 3 matchup, the Detroit Lions topped the New York Jets 35-14, solidifying their position in the early season standings. With both teams looking to establish momentum, the Lions delivered a powerful performance that showcased their offensive firepower. Jared Goff was the standout for Detroit, throwing for 210 yards and four touchdowns, effectively leading the charge against a struggling Jets defense. Tyler Conklin contributed significantly as well, racking up 63 receiving yards, providing Goff with a reliable target throughout the game. The Lions' offense was in sync, converting key plays that kept the Jets on their heels. Defensively, the Lions were equally impressive, highlighted by Jack Campbell's two interceptions, which proved crucial in stifling any Jets momentum. The turning point came midway through the second quarter when Campbell's pick set up another scoring drive for Detroit, extending their lead and leaving the Jets in a tough spot to recover. With solid tackles and pressure from the Lions' defense, the Jets never found their rhythm, ultimately succumbing to a well-rounded Lions squad.
