In a commanding performance, the Minnesota Vikings topped the Green Bay Packers 37-15 in Week 1 of the 2026 season. This victory sets the tone for the Vikings as they look to build momentum early in the year, while the Packers will need to regroup after a rough start. Leading the charge for Minnesota was quarterback Kyler Murray, who threw for 228 yards and four touchdowns, showcasing his ability to make big plays downfield. Running back Nick Chubb added to the offensive onslaught with a solid 101 rushing yards, providing a balanced attack that kept the Packers' defense on its heels. On the defensive side, Caleb Banks was a standout for the Vikings, recording two sacks that disrupted the Packers’ offensive rhythm. The turning point came in the second quarter when Murray threw two quick touchdowns, allowing Minnesota to pull away and put the game out of reach. Despite strong tackling from Xavier McKinney, who led Green Bay with eight total tackles, the Vikings' defense held firm to secure the win.
