In a commanding performance, the New York Jets defeated the Chicago Bears 44-30 in Week 4 of the 2026 season, solidifying their position in the playoff race. Both teams entered the game looking for momentum, but it was the Jets who capitalized on key opportunities to secure the victory. Caleb Williams led the charge for the Bears, throwing for 269 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his ability to move the ball downfield. D'Andre Swift added 82 rushing yards, while Zavion Thomas emerged as a reliable target with 84 receiving yards. However, it was the Jets' offense that proved more explosive, effectively responding to Chicago's efforts. Defensively, the Jets made critical plays that shifted the game's momentum. Trevin Wallace anchored the Jets' defense with 12 total tackles, while Minkah Fitzpatrick's two interceptions were pivotal in stalling Chicago's drives. The turning point came in the third quarter when Fitzpatrick snagged his second pick, allowing the Jets to extend their lead and ultimately hold off the Bears' late-game surge.
