In a thrilling matchup that kept fans on the edge of their seats, the Arizona Cardinals narrowly defeated the San Francisco 49ers, 18-17, in Week 3 of the 2026 season. Both teams were looking to solidify their standings early in the season, but it was the Cardinals who came out on top in a tightly contested battle. Arizona's offense was led by quarterback Carson Beck, who threw for 200 yards, showcasing his precision under pressure. Michael Wilson was his favorite target, racking up 83 receiving yards, while the team's ability to distribute the ball effectively kept the 49ers' defense guessing. The running game was minimal, but the Cardinals did just enough to maintain the balance needed for their win. Defensively, the Cardinals made critical plays, with Karson Sharar leading the charge with five total tackles. The game's turning point came late in the fourth quarter when the 49ers' Malik Mustapha intercepted Beck, giving San Francisco a chance to take the lead. However, Arizona’s defense held strong, ultimately sealing the victory and showcasing their resilience when it mattered most.
