The Pittsburgh Steelers dominated the New England Patriots with a commanding 41-0 victory in Week 2 of the 2026 season. This matchup was crucial for both teams, as the Steelers aimed to establish themselves early in the season while the Patriots sought to bounce back from their opening week loss. Offensively, Pittsburgh's Drew Allar threw for one touchdown, but it was Eli Heidenreich who truly stole the show with an impressive 173 rushing yards. The Steelers' ground game was relentless, consistently breaking through the Patriots' defense and setting the tone for a lopsided score. Meanwhile, New England's Drake Maye managed 210 passing yards but struggled to find the end zone, highlighting the challenges he faced throughout the game. Defensively, Pittsburgh was a force to be reckoned with, led by Jaquan Brisker, who recorded three total tackles and an interception. Derrick Harmon added to the defensive prowess with two sacks, constantly applying pressure on Maye and disrupting the Patriots' offensive rhythm. The game turned decisively in the first half when the Steelers capitalized on a turnover, quickly extending their lead and leaving New England unable to recover.
