In a thrilling season opener, the Dallas Cowboys topped the New York Giants 26-17, setting the tone for a competitive 2026 campaign. With both teams vying for early momentum, the Cowboys showcased their offense to secure the win on the road. Dak Prescott led the charge for Dallas, throwing for two touchdowns and providing a steady presence in the pocket. Meanwhile, Javonte Williams made a significant impact on the ground, racking up 96 rushing yards and keeping the Giants' defense on its heels. For New York, Jaxson Dart put up a valiant effort with 259 passing yards, connecting with Malik Nabers for 100 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to clinch the victory. Defensively, the Cowboys managed to contain the Giants' attack effectively, limiting their scoring opportunities. The turning point came in the second half when Dallas' defense tightened its grip, forcing New York to settle for field goals instead of touchdowns. Although Dru Phillips stood out with nine tackles for the Giants, the lack of impactful sacks allowed the Cowboys to maintain control and ultimately seal the win.
