In a tightly contested matchup, the New England Patriots secured a 24-17 victory over the Chicago Bears in Week 7 of the 2026 season. With playoff implications on the line, both teams were hungry for a win, but it was the Patriots who managed to outlast their opponents in a critical road game. Leading the charge for New England was veteran quarterback Tom Brady, who threw for 223 yards, complementing his performance with an effective offense led by Joe Mixon, who rushed for 72 yards. Ja'Marr Chase also made his mark, recording 83 receiving yards, providing Brady with a reliable target throughout the game. The Patriots' balanced attack proved too much for the Bears to handle. Defensively, Greg Rousseau made a significant impact for New England, recording a crucial sack that disrupted Chicago's rhythm. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when the Bears were driving for a potential game-tying touchdown, but a timely interception by Brian Urlacher halted their momentum. The Patriots' defense, while not overwhelming, made key plays when it mattered most, sealing the win in a hard-fought battle.
