In a closely contested battle, the Green Bay Packers topped the New England Patriots 27-21 in Week 9 of the 2026 season. With playoff implications on the line, both teams fought hard, but it was the Packers who ultimately secured the crucial victory. Packers running back Josh Jacobs was a standout, racking up 77 rushing yards and helping to control the tempo of the game. On the other side, Patriots quarterback Drake Maye threw for 302 yards and a touchdown, showcasing his ability to move the ball through the air. A.J. Brown also shone for New England, leading all receivers with 101 yards, but it wasn't enough to clinch the win. Defensively, the Patriots made their presence felt, with Kevin Byard III leading the team with nine tackles. Gabe Jacas added two sacks, putting pressure on Packers quarterback to disrupt their rhythm. However, the turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Green Bay's defense held strong, forcing a crucial turnover on downs, allowing the Packers to run out the clock and secure the victory.
