In a commanding performance, the New England Patriots topped the Chicago Bears 28-7 in Week 7 of the 2026 season, solidifying their position in the playoff race. The Patriots showcased their offensive prowess, while the Bears struggled to keep pace throughout the contest. Drake Maye shone brightly for New England, finishing with 248 passing yards and a touchdown, effectively leading the offense down the field. A.J. Brown was his top target, racking up 93 receiving yards and proving to be a consistent threat. Meanwhile, D'Andre Swift of the Bears made his mark on the ground, accumulating 110 rushing yards but couldn't find the end zone. Defensively, the Patriots were able to apply steady pressure, limiting the Bears' offensive opportunities and forcing them into tough situations. The game's turning point came in the second quarter when New England's defensive unit stymied a promising Chicago drive, allowing the Patriots to extend their lead and ultimately secure the victory. With Dillon Thieneman leading the Bears' defense with eight tackles, it wasn't enough to shift the momentum back in their favor.
