In a hard-fought battle in Week 4 of the 2026 season, the Indianapolis Colts held off the Washington Commanders with a final score of 24-18. The Colts aimed to secure their position in the playoff race, while the Commanders sought to bounce back after a tough start to the season. Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson Sr. led the way offensively, throwing for 2 touchdowns and providing a spark to the Colts' passing game. Running back Jonathan Taylor was a force on the ground, racking up 107 rushing yards and keeping the chains moving. For the Commanders, Jayden Daniels put together a strong performance with 270 passing yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome Indianapolis. Defensively, the game turned when Charvarius Ward Sr. of the Colts intercepted a pass, stifling a potential scoring drive by the Commanders in the second half. While Sonny Styles recorded a team-high 9 tackles for Washington, and Odafe Oweh added 1.5 sacks, the Colts' defense made crucial stops when it mattered most. Ultimately, Indianapolis capitalized on their opportunities, allowing them to secure the victory despite a strong push from Washington.
