In a thrilling contest, the Jacksonville Jaguars topped the New England Patriots with a final score of 50-38, solidifying their position in the early stages of the 2026 season. This matchup showcased both teams battling for momentum, but it was the Jaguars who emerged victorious, demonstrating their offensive firepower and defensive resilience. Trevor Lawrence was the standout performer for Jacksonville, throwing for five touchdown passes and leading a high-octane offense that overwhelmed the Patriots' defense. On the other side, Drake Maye had a remarkable game for New England, racking up an impressive 488 passing yards, with Kyle Williams being his go-to target, amassing 132 receiving yards. However, despite their efforts, it was not enough to clinch the win. Defensively, the Jaguars found ways to disrupt the Patriots' rhythm, with DaVon Hamilton recording two crucial sacks and Jarrian Jones grabbing an interception that shifted the momentum in favor of Jacksonville. The turning point came in the second quarter when Lawrence's third touchdown pass put the Jaguars ahead and gave them the breathing room they needed to hold off a late rally from New England. The Jaguars' defense stepped up when it mattered most, sealing the victory and moving them to a promising start this season.
