In a tightly contested matchup, the Washington Commanders narrowly defeated the Dallas Cowboys 14-10 in Week 2 of the 2026 season. With both teams looking to establish their early-season dominance, this game was crucial for playoff positioning as the season progresses. Jayden Daniels shone for Washington, throwing for two touchdowns and leading his team to victory with efficient passing. Dak Prescott of the Cowboys put up impressive numbers as well, racking up 231 passing yards, but it was not enough to secure the win. Meanwhile, Javonte Williams contributed on the ground for Dallas, finishing with 51 rushing yards, while George Pickens led all receivers with 88 yards. Defensively, the game turned when Sonny Styles intercepted Prescott, halting a potential scoring drive and shifting momentum back to the Commanders. Charles Omenihu also made his presence felt with a sack that disrupted the Cowboys' offensive rhythm. DeMarvion Overshown led all defenders with nine tackles, but it was Washington's ability to make crucial stops that ultimately sealed their victory.
