In a high-scoring Week 2 matchup, the Jacksonville Jaguars topped the Denver Broncos with a convincing 52-31 victory, solidifying their position as a contender early in the 2026 season. This game was critical for both teams as they aimed to establish momentum heading into the heart of the schedule. Trevor Lawrence was the star of the show, throwing for an impressive 377 yards and six touchdowns, showcasing his ability to connect with his targets downfield. He also contributed significantly on the ground, rushing for 66 yards, making him a dual-threat throughout the contest. Despite the loss, Travis Etienne Jr. of the Broncos put on a strong performance, racking up 148 receiving yards, but it wasn’t enough to keep pace with Lawrence's explosive output. Defensively, the Jaguars managed to disrupt the Broncos' rhythm with a key sack from Ventrell Miller, while Talanoa Hufanga’s interception provided a crucial turnover. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Lawrence threw his fourth touchdown pass, extending the lead to 24-10, which proved insurmountable as the Jaguars maintained control in the second half. The Broncos' defense struggled to contain Lawrence, ultimately leading to their downfall in this high-octane affair.
