In a commanding season opener, the New York Giants topped the Dallas Cowboys 31-10, setting the tone for their 2026 campaign. With both teams looking to make an early statement, the Giants’ dominant performance solidified their status as contenders in the NFC East. Giants running back Cam Skattebo was a standout, racking up 135 rushing yards and finding the end zone, while Dak Prescott led the Cowboys with 284 passing yards and one touchdown. Despite Prescott's solid performance, the Cowboys struggled to keep pace, with CeeDee Lamb contributing a notable 143 receiving yards but ultimately unable to turn those yards into points. Defensively, the Giants were relentless, highlighted by Michael Strahan's impressive 2.5 sacks and Tyler Nubin's crucial interception that halted a Cowboys drive. The game's turning point came in the second quarter when Nubin's pick led to a quick touchdown for the Giants, shifting momentum firmly in their favor and allowing them to control the game from that point forward.
