The Minnesota Vikings kicked off the 2027 season with a commanding 38-12 victory over the Chicago Bears. With both teams looking to establish momentum early in the year, the Vikings demonstrated their firepower and depth, effectively securing the win on the road. Kyler Murray was the standout offensive performer for Minnesota, throwing for three touchdowns and showcasing his dynamic playmaking ability. Demond Claiborne also made a significant impact on the ground, racking up 127 rushing yards and keeping the Bears' defense off balance. On the other side, Caleb Williams put up respectable numbers with 193 passing yards, but struggled to find the end zone, while Colston Loveland led Chicago in receiving with 119 yards. Defensively, the Vikings made key plays to stifle the Bears' momentum, highlighted by Isaiah Rodgers Sr.'s interception that shifted the game's tide. The Bears' Montez Sweat recorded two sacks, but it was Blake Cashman's five tackles that helped keep Chicago from gaining traction. The Vikings' ability to capitalize on turnovers and maintain pressure proved pivotal, as they pulled away in the second half to seal the deal.
