In a thrilling opening matchup of the 2027 season, the Miami Dolphins outlasted the Indianapolis Colts with a final score of 38-31. Both teams came into this game looking to set the tone for the year, but it was Miami that ultimately secured the victory in a nail-biter. Julian Sayin shined for the Dolphins, throwing for three touchdowns and helping his team maintain offensive momentum throughout the game. Meanwhile, the Colts' Daniel Jones put up an impressive 384 passing yards, with Garrett Wilson leading the receiving corps with 169 yards, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Miami's offensive firepower. Defensively, Miami's Abdul Carter was a standout performer, registering three sacks that disrupted Indianapolis's rhythm at crucial moments. The turning point came in the fourth quarter when Carter's pressure led to a key interception by Greg Newsome II, sealing the win for Miami and thwarting any late-game comeback efforts by the Colts.
