In a high-octane showdown, the Jacksonville Jaguars outlasted the Miami Dolphins with a final score of 59-49 in Week 3 of the 2027 season. Both teams entered the game looking to solidify their positions in the early playoff race, but it was the Jaguars who emerged victorious in an offensive slugfest. Trevor Lawrence was the standout performer for Jacksonville, throwing for a staggering 603 yards and an impressive eight touchdowns, showcasing his elite passing ability. Brian Thomas Jr. also had a record-setting day, racking up 328 receiving yards, proving to be a favorite target for Lawrence. Meanwhile, Derrick Henry led the Dolphins’ ground attack with 100 rushing yards, but Miami's offense struggled to keep pace with the Jaguars’ aerial assault. On the defensive side, the Jaguars made critical plays that shifted momentum in their favor. Albert Regis was a force, registering 2.5 sacks, while Caleb Ransaw picked off two passes, preventing Miami from mounting a comeback. The turning point came in the second half when Ransaw's second interception halted a Dolphins drive, allowing Jacksonville to extend their lead and ultimately secure the win.
