In a commanding performance, the Arizona Cardinals topped the Carolina Panthers 49-7 in Week 4 of the 2027 season. The Cardinals showcased their offensive firepower, while the Panthers struggled to keep pace, facing a tough uphill battle throughout the game. Quarterback Sam Darnold led the charge for Arizona, throwing for 298 yards and five touchdowns, demonstrating pinpoint accuracy and decision-making. Jeremiyah Love complemented the aerial assault with a strong ground game, racking up 113 rushing yards, while Trey McBride emerged as Darnold's favorite target, amassing 126 receiving yards. This potent offensive trio was pivotal in building an insurmountable lead. Defensively, the Cardinals were relentless, with Craig Woodson making a game-changing impact by snagging two interceptions, effectively halting any momentum the Panthers tried to generate. Dee Winters led the team in tackles with four, ensuring that Carolina's attempts to establish a rhythm were consistently thwarted. The turning point came early in the second quarter when Darnold's third touchdown pass created a 21-point gap, forcing the Panthers to abandon their game plan and play from behind.
