In a commanding performance, the San Francisco 49ers topped the Atlanta Falcons with a final score of 45-21 in Week 7 of the 2026 season. The victory not only showcases the 49ers' offensive prowess but also solidifies their position in the playoff race as they continue their push for postseason glory. Brock Purdy shined for the 49ers, throwing for four touchdowns and demonstrating efficiency throughout the game. Christian McCaffrey was a force on the ground, racking up 119 rushing yards and adding to the scoreboard. On the other side, Michael Penix Jr. put up notable numbers with 304 passing yards, while Drake London emerged as a top target with 161 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with San Francisco's explosive offense. Defensively, the 49ers made critical plays when it mattered most, highlighted by Nate Hobbs' interception that shifted momentum in their favor. Renardo Green led the team with 11 tackles, consistently shutting down Atlanta's attempts to mount a comeback. The turning point came late in the second quarter when San Francisco's defense stifled a Falcons drive, allowing Purdy and the offense to extend their lead, sealing the game as they cruised to victory.
