In a decisive Wildcard Round matchup, the Indianapolis Colts topped the New York Jets 24-7, securing their place in the postseason with a strong performance. The stakes were high as both teams sought to advance in the 2026 season, but it was the Colts who delivered when it mattered most. Quarterback Daniel Jones led the charge for Indianapolis, throwing for 186 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to command the offense. His favorite target, Alec Pierce, was instrumental in the victory, racking up 84 receiving yards and creating key plays that kept the Jets on their heels. Meanwhile, Breece Hall of the Jets managed to find some success on the ground with 67 rushing yards but struggled to make a significant impact. Defensively, the Colts made their presence felt with CJ Allen recording a crucial sack that disrupted the Jets' momentum. Although the Jets' Minkah Fitzpatrick led the game with four total tackles and Azareye'h Thomas intercepted a pass, the Colts' defense was effective in limiting the Jets' scoring opportunities. The turning point came late in the second quarter when the Colts' defense held strong, forcing a turnover on downs that shifted the game in their favor, allowing Indianapolis to build an insurmountable lead.
