In a nail-biting Week 17 showdown, the Minnesota Vikings narrowly defeated the New York Jets with a final score of 12-10. This matchup held significant implications as both teams fought for playoff positioning, making every play crucial in the late stages of the season. Drake Maye led the Jets' offensive efforts, throwing for 166 yards and a touchdown, but it was James Cook III who provided a solid ground game with 67 rushing yards, complementing Omar Cooper Jr.'s receiving efforts, also totaling 67 yards. Despite their efforts, the Jets were unable to find the end zone more than once, leaving them just short of victory. On defense, Nahshon Wright recorded a game-high nine tackles for the Vikings, while Eric Wilson added 1.5 sacks to disrupt the Jets' rhythm. A pivotal moment came when Byron Murphy Jr. intercepted a crucial pass, stalling a late Jets drive and allowing Minnesota to maintain their slim lead, ultimately sealing the win.
