In a crucial Week 16 matchup, the Dallas Cowboys secured a 25-17 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, keeping their playoff hopes alive as the season nears its conclusion. The win solidified the Cowboys' position in the competitive NFC race, while the Jaguars' chances of postseason play took a significant hit. Dak Prescott led the Cowboys' offense with a solid performance, throwing for 175 yards, while Javonte Williams dominated on the ground, racking up 101 rushing yards. Trevor Lawrence of the Jaguars kept the game competitive with two touchdown passes, but it wasn't enough to overcome the balanced attack from Dallas. Brian Thomas Jr. was the standout receiver for Jacksonville, finishing with 58 receiving yards. Defensively, the Jaguars were led by Travis Hunter, who recorded nine total tackles, and Travon Walker, who made a significant impact with 2.5 sacks. However, it was the Cowboys' ability to limit big plays and create key stops that made the difference. The turning point came late in the third quarter when Dallas intercepted a Lawrence pass, shifting momentum firmly in their favor and allowing them to control the final moments of the game.
