In a thrilling Week 8 matchup, the Carolina Panthers topped the Green Bay Packers 33-27, solidifying their position in the playoff race. With both teams vying for momentum as the season approaches its halfway mark, the Panthers emerged victorious in a tightly contested affair. Bryce Young led the charge for Carolina with an impressive performance, throwing for 303 yards and contributing to the team's offensive rhythm. Chuba Hubbard added to the Panthers' ground game with 74 rushing yards, while the Packers saw Jordan Love connect for two touchdown passes, keeping the game competitive. Matthew Golden shone for Green Bay, racking up 99 receiving yards to challenge the Panthers' secondary. Defensively, the Panthers made key plays that shifted the momentum, highlighted by Bobby Okereke's sack that disrupted Green Bay's offensive flow. The game turned in the fourth quarter when Carolina's defense held strong, allowing the Panthers to maintain their narrow lead and ultimately secure the win. Despite a valiant effort from Keisean Nixon, who recorded seven tackles for the Packers, it wasn't enough to overcome the Panthers' resilient defense down the stretch.
