In a thrilling Week 7 showdown, the San Francisco 49ers narrowly defeated the Atlanta Falcons, finishing with a final score of 55-52. The stakes were high as both teams battled for playoff positioning, but it was the 49ers who emerged victorious in this high-scoring affair. Brock Purdy put on a spectacular performance for San Francisco, throwing for an astounding 600 yards and six touchdowns, showcasing his elite passing ability. George Kittle was his favorite target, racking up 223 receiving yards, making key catches that kept drives alive and ultimately sealed the win for the 49ers. On the ground, Bijan Robinson led the Falcons with 111 rushing yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome San Francisco's offensive firepower. Defensively, the 49ers made crucial plays that turned the tide in their favor. Marques Sigle stood out with eight tackles and an interception, helping to stifle the Falcons' momentum at key moments in the game. Osa Odighizuwa added pressure on the quarterback with a sack, contributing to a defensive effort that, while not dominant, came through when it mattered most, particularly in the game's final minutes.
