In a thrilling Week 3 matchup, the Washington Commanders narrowly defeated the Seattle Seahawks 31-29, securing their second win of the season. Both teams entered the game looking to establish momentum early in the 2026 campaign, but it was the Commanders who emerged victorious in a tightly contested battle. Quarterback Jayden Daniels was the standout performer for Washington, tossing three touchdown passes that proved pivotal in the team's success. Seattle's Jalen Milroe kept pace with 230 passing yards, but it was his inability to match Daniels' scoring efficiency that ultimately made the difference. On the ground, Jadarian Price led Seattle with 73 rushing yards, while Cooper Kupp shined in the receiving game, racking up 91 yards. Defensively, the Commanders were anchored by Sonny Styles, who recorded nine total tackles, consistently disrupting Seattle's offensive rhythm. The game featured a critical turning point in the fourth quarter when Washington's defense held strong, preventing a late-game touchdown drive that could have swung the outcome. With the win, the Commanders solidify their position in the early playoff race, while the Seahawks will look to regroup in the coming weeks.
