In a dominant display, the Cleveland Browns defeated the New York Jets 42-0 in Week 5 of the 2026 season. The stakes were high as both teams sought momentum, but the Browns effectively shut down any chance of a Jets comeback, leaving New York still searching for their first win of the season. C.J. Stroud led the charge for Cleveland, throwing for 172 yards and contributing to an impressive offensive performance. Harold Fannin Jr. was a standout receiver, racking up 68 receiving yards and ensuring the Jets' defense remained on its heels throughout the game. The Browns' offense was firing on all cylinders, making it nearly impossible for New York to find their footing. Defensively, the Browns were relentless, with Kris Abrams-Draine leading the team with three total tackles and Jared Verse adding a sack to his impressive stat line. However, it was Emmanuel McNeil-Warren's two interceptions that proved to be the game's turning point, halting any potential drives from the Jets and further solidifying Cleveland's control. The Browns' defense not only stifled the Jets' offense but also set the tone for a commanding victory.
