In a commanding display of offensive firepower, the Dallas Cowboys topped the Washington Commanders 51-24 in Week 2 of the 2026 season. This victory solidifies the Cowboys’ early-season momentum as they look to establish themselves as a serious contender in the NFC. Quarterback Dak Prescott led the charge with a solid performance, throwing for 217 yards and two touchdowns. However, it was the dynamic rushing game of Javonte Williams that truly stole the show, as he racked up an impressive 206 rushing yards. Wide receiver George Pickens also made his presence felt, contributing 125 receiving yards to the Cowboys' explosive offense. Defensively, the Cowboys made their mark with a standout performance from DeMarvion Overshown, who snagged two interceptions, disrupting Washington's offensive rhythm. The game’s turning point came in the second quarter when Overshown's first pick set up a quick touchdown, allowing Dallas to seize control and never look back. With DaRon Bland leading the defense with five total tackles, the Cowboys showcased a well-rounded effort on both sides of the ball.
