In a thrilling season opener, the Indianapolis Colts narrowly defeated the Baltimore Ravens 28-24, kicking off the 2026 season with a tightly contested battle. Both teams entered the matchup eager to establish dominance, but it was the Colts who emerged victorious in front of their home crowd. Quarterback Anthony Richardson Sr shined for Indianapolis, tossing for 281 yards and leading his team’s offense with precision. Meanwhile, Lamar Jackson kept the Ravens competitive, throwing three touchdown passes, but it wasn’t enough to secure the win. Ja'Kobi Lane was a standout target for Baltimore, racking up 134 receiving yards, showcasing his ability to stretch the field. Defensively, the game proved pivotal as A.J. Haulcy's interception for the Colts halted a promising Ravens drive, shifting momentum in favor of Indianapolis. Trenton Simpson was a force for Baltimore, not only leading the team with six total tackles but also recording two sacks, yet it was the Colts' ability to capitalize on key defensive plays that ultimately sealed the game. The contest highlighted the resilience of both rosters as they look to build on their early-season performances.
