In a thrilling Week 1 matchup, the Seattle Seahawks topped the New England Patriots with a final score of 49-34, kicking off the 2026 season on a high note. Both teams showcased their offensive firepower, but it was the Seahawks who ultimately came out on top, establishing themselves as early contenders in the league. Jalen Milroe was the standout performer for the Seahawks, throwing an impressive five touchdown passes that propelled his team to victory. Jadarian Price added a dynamic presence in the backfield with 112 rushing yards, complementing Milroe's aerial assault. On the other side, Drake Maye put up a valiant effort for the Patriots, racking up 342 passing yards and connecting with Kyle Williams for 164 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome Seattle's explosive offense. Defensively, the Seahawks made key plays that shifted momentum in their favor, highlighted by Devon Witherspoon's crucial interception. Tyrice Knight added pressure on the Patriots' offense with a sack, while Terrion Arnold led the team in tackling, helping to stifle New England’s attempts at a comeback. The game's turning point came late in the third quarter when Milroe connected for a touchdown that extended Seattle's lead, ultimately sealing the win.
