In a decisive Week 17 matchup, the Chicago Bears topped the Detroit Lions with a final score of 38-20, solidifying their playoff hopes and ending the Lions' aspirations for the postseason. With both teams vying for momentum, the Bears delivered a commanding performance on their home turf. Caleb Williams shined for Chicago, throwing for 239 yards and two touchdowns, leading the Bears’ offensive attack. His precision passing was complemented by a balanced offensive scheme that kept the Lions' defense guessing. On the other side, Jahmyr Gibbs put together a solid outing for Detroit with 80 rushing yards, while Amon-Ra St. Brown led all receivers with 102 yards, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Bears' scoring barrage. Defensively, the Bears made crucial plays to shift the momentum of the game. Neville Gallimore recorded a sack that halted a Lions drive, while Dillon Thieneman's interception proved to be a pivotal moment, allowing Chicago to capitalize and extend their lead. With Jack Campbell leading the Lions' defense with 10 total tackles, it was clear that while Detroit fought hard, they couldn't contain the explosive Chicago offense when it mattered most.
