In a decisive Week 17 matchup, the Washington Commanders steamrolled the Jacksonville Jaguars with a commanding final score of 80-28, solidifying their position as a playoff contender. With the stakes high and the postseason looming, Washington showcased their dominance on both sides of the ball. Jayden Daniels was the star of the evening, throwing for 221 yards and two touchdowns while also leading the ground game with an impressive 175 rushing yards. Terry McLaurin was a key target, racking up 128 receiving yards, providing Daniels with a reliable option throughout the game. The offensive fireworks from the Commanders proved too much for the Jaguars to handle. Defensively, the Commanders made their mark with Dorance Armstrong delivering a standout performance, notching 2.5 sacks and consistently applying pressure on the Jaguars' offense. The game's turning point came early in the second half when Washington's relentless defense forced a turnover, allowing them to extend their lead and effectively seal the victory. Despite Antonio Johnson's two interceptions for Jacksonville, it wasn't enough to shift momentum back in their favor.
