In a commanding performance, the Washington Commanders topped the Minnesota Vikings 52-26 in Week 16 of the 2026 season. With playoff implications on the line, the Commanders solidified their position, showcasing their dominance on both sides of the ball. On offense, Jayden Daniels led the charge for Washington with a remarkable 244 rushing yards, proving to be a dual-threat powerhouse. Kyler Murray of the Vikings had a strong showing as well, throwing for 244 yards and three touchdowns, but it wasn’t enough to match the relentless pace set by the Commanders. Defensively, Washington made pivotal plays that shifted the momentum of the game. Daron Payne recorded 1.5 sacks, while Malaki Starks grabbed two interceptions, halting Minnesota's drives at critical moments. The turning point came when Starks picked off a pass deep in Commanders territory, allowing Washington to extend their lead and ultimately seal the victory.
