In a decisive Week 15 matchup, the Minnesota Vikings topped the Detroit Lions 17-0, solidifying their playoff position as the regular season winds down. With both teams vying for crucial wins, the Vikings showcased their dominance on both sides of the ball, delivering a complete performance that left no doubt about their superiority. Minnesota's offense was led by Aaron Jones Sr, who rushed for 85 yards, consistently moving the chains and keeping the Lions' defense on their heels. Quarterback Jared Goff of Detroit attempted to rally his team with 182 passing yards, but struggled to find the end zone. Amon-Ra St. Brown was the standout receiver for the Lions, racking up 77 yards, but it wasn’t enough to ignite any scoring. Defensively, the Vikings were solid, highlighted by Caleb Banks' sack that disrupted Detroit's rhythm. The turning point came in the second quarter when Minnesota's defense stifled a Lions drive, forcing a turnover on downs that shifted momentum and allowed the Vikings to extend their lead. With Roger McCreary leading Detroit's defense with six tackles, the Lions fought hard but ultimately couldn't overcome the Vikings' balanced attack.
