The New England Patriots topped the Jacksonville Jaguars 25-3 in a decisive Week 3 matchup of the 2026 season. With both teams looking to establish momentum early in the year, the Patriots delivered a statement performance that showcased their dominance on both sides of the ball. Drake Maye led the Patriots offensively, throwing for one touchdown while also leading the ground game with 59 rushing yards. The Patriots' offense was efficient, finding ways to control the tempo and capitalize on scoring opportunities, which ultimately stifled the Jaguars' attempts to mount any significant offensive response. Defensively, the Patriots held the Jaguars to just three points, with the New England defensive unit effectively neutralizing Trevor Lawrence, who managed only 199 passing yards. The game's turning point came in the second quarter when the Patriots' defense forced a crucial turnover, leading to a quick touchdown that shifted the momentum firmly in New England's favor. Despite Jaylon Carlies' eight tackles for the Jaguars, they struggled to contain the Patriots' balanced attack throughout the contest.
