In a dominating performance, the Green Bay Packers topped the Minnesota Vikings 34-0 in Week 1 of the 2026 season. The stakes were high as both teams aimed to set the tone for the year, but the Packers emerged as the clear victor, showcasing their offensive prowess and defensive resilience. Jordan Love led the charge for the Packers, throwing for two touchdowns while orchestrating a balanced attack that featured Josh Jacobs on the ground, who racked up an impressive 118 rushing yards. Despite the Vikings' Kyler Murray throwing for 253 yards, the Minnesota offense struggled to find the end zone, with Jauan Jennings standing out as the only bright spot in the receiving game, gaining 97 yards. On the defensive side, the Packers were relentless, with Edgerrin Cooper leading the team with seven tackles, while Xavier McKinney snagged an interception that halted any momentum the Vikings were trying to build. The turning point came early in the second half when McKinney's interception set up a quick touchdown, effectively sealing the game and leaving the Vikings unable to recover.
