In an exhilarating season opener, the Baltimore Ravens triumphed over the Indianapolis Colts with a final score of 44-31. Both teams were eager to make a statement in Week 1 of the 2026 season, but it was the Ravens who ultimately secured the victory, showcasing their offensive firepower and strategic prowess. Lamar Jackson was the standout performer for Baltimore, throwing for an impressive 426 yards and two touchdowns, effectively leading his team down the field. He found a reliable target in Mark Andrews, who racked up 148 receiving yards, consistently moving the chains. Meanwhile, Jonathan Taylor of the Colts had a remarkable game on the ground, amassing 269 rushing yards, but it wasn’t enough to keep pace with the Ravens’ high-octane offense. Defensively, the Ravens made their mark as well, highlighted by Josh Sweat's six total tackles and Trenton Simpson's impactful sack. The game’s turning point came when Jackson orchestrated a crucial drive late in the third quarter, answering a Colts score with a touchdown that shifted momentum firmly in Baltimore's favor. Despite Hunter Wohler's two interceptions for Indianapolis, the Ravens' defense stepped up at key moments to hold off any comeback attempts, securing a solid start to their season.
